Washington Drive Primary School realizes the importance of early education and strives for the first informative years of their students is one that will instill the excitement to become lifelong learners in all aspects of their life. The curriculum is designed to be exciting while enhancing the learning experience through academic skills and social skills. The programs at Washington Drive Primary School utilize the library as the center point of the facility. The entire school is built to be similar to that of a ship where a nautical theme is seen throughout the school with so much as port holes in the structure. A fun and exciting environment which also provides a state of the art computer lab along with all the available resources and tools for students to excel at all studies.

Washington Drive Primary School is a Literacy Collaborative School affiliated with Eastern Suffolk B.O.C.E.S. and Lesley University. This collaboration is to work toward raising the level of literacy for each student in the school. The entire curriculum is centered on the basic framework of reading and writing utilizing themes such as holidays, space, seasons, cultures, animals, friendship, and animals.

Math in another important aspect of learning at Washington Drive Primary School and the Scott Foresman Mathematics program helps students learn math concepts.

The school as well as parents and the community work together to ensure the learning facility is one that is safe and nurturing in all areas of education.
