Urban Assembly School for Urban Environment prepares its students for college and careers by using real-life issues in the environment around them to teach students to think carefully and critically about themselves, their community and their world. The staff of teachers works to monitor and further our progress toward extremely high, but realistic standards, seek out novel and creative ways to improve our instructional endeavors, and to constantly strive for excellence. Urban Assembly School student understands that the virtue of self-reliance must be tempered by awareness of his/her need for others and that the success and happiness of each person is inextricably linked to the success and happiness of all with whom life's projects are shared.
