Since students attend the same school for the middle level and the high school level the transitional period is felt much less, than it is in other school systems that offer separate facilities. However, teachers still recognize the transitional period from elementary to middle school and work to ensure students attending Tupper Lake Middle-High School are well adjusted and ready for the changes coming when they enter high school.

The community, parents, teachers, and staff work together to give not only the finest resources and tools for all educational needs to all students, but also provides the emotional and social needs to ensure students are ready to become productive members of their community and society upon graduation.
