Tuckahoe Middle School provides a safe, nurturing environment in which a partnership between the teachers and the community serves the unique academic needs of the students. The classroom environment is disciplined, structured, and inclusive so as to meet the needs of all students while fulfilling the mandate of excellence set forth in the New York State Standards and Assessments. Students School are gifted with an education which empowers them to think independently, speak and write with clarity, foster good decision-making, and continue to create a school-family-community centered value system which celebrates the differences among one another.

The environment at Tuckahoe Middle School provides one that will build responsibility, productivity, and involved citizens who possess self-esteem, a love of learning and respect for self and others. The goal of Tuckahoe Middle School is to provide students with several opportunities to learn and grow with varied and abundant courses with a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, activities, and inter-scholastic sports. They encourage each student to become involved in all they have to offer.
