Slingerlands Elementary School has high expectations academically, behaviorally and socially. They try to accomplish these goals in a warm, positive and fun-loving way. Slingerlands Elementary School provides challenging and supportive programs and staff dedicated to providing each student with a solid academic foundation. The elementary school program is designed to help students develop confidence in them selves as learners as well as instilling a love of learning.

Slingerlands teachers are committed to and knowledgeable in their disciplines, believe in their students and are dedicated to their students' success. With help from the districts active PTA, students are involved in numerous academic, social and cultural programs, as well as family orientated activities and also recognize the importance of helping our students to develop the ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with their peers. Through the efforts of the faculty, staff and PTA, students enjoy the benefit of numerous programs that provide guidance and support.
