Sheepshead Bay High School honors its motto, "For the Pursuit of Excellence" by providing an Integrated Curriculum and Instruction Learning Support Organization to students in grades 09, 10, 11, 12 and SE based in the school mission to create a nurturing environment that resembles a cultural oasis of intellectual diversity that contributes with the formation of lifelong learners that being technologically sophisticated critical thinkers, become also responsible citizens.

Knowing the importance of living in an ever-changing and multi-cultural world, Sheepshead Bay High School offers special programs for nursing assistants, health careers, law and performing arts, peer tutoring and magnet programs, honors and advanced and/or accelerated placement courses in all major areas.

This High School has computer labs with Internet access and an automated and newly refurbished library that along with extracurricular activities such as peer mediation, yearbook production, conflict resolution programs, sports, dance, choral and dram clubs among other activities.
