Dr. Betty Shabazz School has two full time principals and 61 full time teachers. This school serves children with disabilities and disadvantaged as well. The yearly progress has been passed by every child in the school before going onto the next grade. Students reading levels have increased over the last several years. So have their Math scores. This shows the great devotion of the teachers here.

The students here are very proud of themselves because most of the children in this school are in the poverty level. They are doing something with their life and education has become a number one goal for them.
