P.S. 255 programs continue with topics in arithmetic operations and relations. Students receive a balanced, integrated mathematics program that includes continual development of whole number concepts, whole number computation, mental math, problem-solving, patterns and functions, measurement, geometry, fractions, decimals, statistics, and probability. P.S. 255 teachers fully recognize the importance of educational activities that occur away from the regular classroom. It is expected that even though you are away from the school property; you will comply with regulations and expectations of behavior. Be extra courteous to those around you whether or not they are part of the school. At all times, as P.S. 255 students you represent yourself, but also the school, its personnel and the community.
