P.S. 180 Homewood School fosters common goals for education and high expectation for the students who attend for learning. They provide instruction for identified students on a regular basis throughout the school year. Reading specialists work in conjunction with the classroom teachers to target needed areas of instruction and to serve as a resource person. Academic Intervention Services are intended to assist students who are at risk of not achieving the State learning standards in English language arts, mathematics, social studies and science, or who are at risk of not gaining the knowledge and skills needed to meet or exceed designated performance levels on State assessments. The additional instruction and/or support are provided in various school settings.
