P.S. 179 The Kensington School enjoys the local community made up of both pleasant and helpful parents that want an excellence education for their children and stay active in the Parent Teacher Association to guarantee that each child can have the best learning experience. Kensington students will learn how to express thoughts, ideas, and their individual feelings in a positive way and learn the importance of building relationships with their peers. The teachers endeavor to provide serious one-on-one involvement for students that are struggling with reading. Additional programs are offered which is designed to bring a more rich learning over and above the classroom experience. Kensington promotes good study habits, coming to school ready to learn, being respectful to others and yourself among other positive ideals to create a wonderful learning environment.
