P.S. 17 Early Childhood Center is located at 1045 West Delavan Buffalo, NY. P.S. 17 School is committed to providing a well rounded curriculum designed to meet the needs and interests of our students. Education at this school starts at grade level PK and continues through the 4th in Erie County, of New York State.

The mission of ECC #17 is to help students acquire the knowledge, skills, patience, and attitudes necessary to become happy, healthy, well-adjusted, productive adults and responsible citizens. Our learning community helps students become enthusiastic, lifelong learners, focused on literacy and numeric accuracy, which are able to manage change. The goal is to help each child to become a productive member of society in a global, technology-rich world.

Students will read and listen to oral, written and electronically produced texts and performances, relate texts and performances to their own lives, and develop an understanding of the diverse social, historical, and cultural dimensions the texts and performances represent. As speakers and writers, students will use oral and written language for self-expression and artistic creation.
