P.S. 162 strong character education programs set the backdrop for an emphasis on respect, responsibility, and cooperation. Frequent curriculum updates, relevant staff development training, and an emphasis on writing instruction in all subjects have contributed to their success. The educational program is designed to foster strong academic skills, self-esteem, social competence, and problem solving abilities within an inclusive environment.
