P.S. 130 is located at 200-01 42Nd Avenue Bayside, NY and it provides for education for grades K-3 in Queens County. Effective instruction is a shared activity for the school to be successful, faculty must participate in the school-decision making process not only in the areas of instructional program design, curriculum development, and materials selection but also in peer selection, support, and evaluation. Individuals have different needs and talents and achieve at different rates. Therefore, multiple forms of assessment must provide a variety of opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to demonstrate what they know and can do.

The school serves a diverse, multilingual student population of recent immigrants to the United States.
