P.S. 114 Ryder Elementary School students are encouraged to take an active role in acquiring the numerous skills that are introduced on each Grade level. Emphasis is placed upon learning through hands-on experiences and interdisciplinary activities which link the curriculum areas and provide the children with an in-depth understanding of our community and the world. Projects provide an opportunity for students in different grade levels to collaborate on activities that incorporate various disciplines including art, music and physical education. Students develop a strong sense of community and school pride. Teachers are committed to teaching to the whole child and incorporating strong links between school and home. School teachers and staff are committed to providing the very best educational experience for your child and they are all eager to work closely and collaboratively with you throughout the entire school year.
