P.S. 109 is a Primary School number 109 attend a student population from 0K through grades 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 and SE, which mission is setting an educational environment that meet the needs of each and every child attending school, making of those children lifelong thinkers and learners with the aid of a collaborative team formed by teachers, parents and students alike participating actively through the whole learning process.

P.S. 109 is proud to provide standards-driven instruction in all its curriculum areas including also extracurricular activities such as Chess in the Schools, Sports and Arts Champion Club, Dance, Drama, PS 109 Choral (School Chorus) and Kids Connect After-School Program.

And because the staff believes every child can be successful meeting all challenges, P.S. 109 also offers special programs such as Physical Education, Super Start Pre-K, Reading Recovery, SCIS hands-on science program, and Eagle, a program for gifted students, among others.
