About

Peru Senior High School is located at 17 School Street Peru, NY. Grade levels 9th through 12th are taught here and the school recognizes the importance of a balanced and well-rounded education. An emphasis on the appreciation of fine arts will be an integral part of the curriculum and electives in music and art will be offered. The physical education department will focus on the importance of fitness and the development of a healthful lifestyle. Through team sports, cooperative games, and individualized fitness programs the physical education programs will teach students cooperation, sportsmanship, and how to form life long habits of healthful living.

Peru Senior High School is apart of a rural setting and dairy farming dominates the agricultural scene, and businesses and industries have provided balance and contributed to the economic growth of the district. At Peru Senior High School they intend to educate all of the students to be “problem solvers, able to access and use information, make decisions in an information-rich environment, and communicate effectively as they live and work successfully in our global society”.

The staff works to create an educational atmosphere in which each student is provided with the opportunity to realize their full potential as students, athletes, artists, musicians, and individuals through personal attention and encouragement.
