Penn Yan Academy strives to provide school community members with services and materials to meet their educational, personal, and professional needs. Components of the program include; stimulating and encouraging an interest in reading, providing resources and activities that contribute to lifelong learning, providing collaboration and assistance to teachers and others in applying principles of instruction and information technology, and providing access to materials that represent a variety of experiences, opinions, and perspectives.

The Penn Yan Academy agrees with the same principles upheld by the district, which is to promote the growth of each student through their own ability, assurance, and pride in a learning environment where each person can grow to become understanding, responsible, and productive citizens. The staff, teachers, parents, and the community strive to provide the best in educational tools along with a caring staff that work right alongside one another for the betterment of not only the educational opportunities but the pride of living in rural New York. Teachers are dedicated to providing the best environment where students will learn and grow in order to become successful in all their endeavors throughout life.
