Integrating technological instruction throughout the curriculum provides the essential skills to meet state and national learning standards. The staff and teachers are well educated, experienced and committed to excellence.

The staff acknowledges that all students are capable of learning, regardless of their abilities, race, color, national origin or creed, and works to make sure this responsibility is met. Key studies include language, math, art, technology programs, and an innovative music program. Opportunities for students to expand their learning and increase their strengths are provided to students, based on their own interest, are identified as possessing above average ability, creativity and dedication.

Nottingham High School teachers and students participate in programs that provide students with new reading texts and related supplemental and intervention materials and provides teachers with extensive training in the latest, research-based and proven reading instructional practices. Like all schools in the Syracuse City School District it is noted that the school and community are vitally linked and that children learn best when they have the support of all the people who care for them. They encourage you to visit the school and become involved through membership in the PTA, volunteering in the classroom, attending school events, and communicating with them often.
