Mount Morris Junior-Senior High School has comprehensive academic programs provide each student with a strong foundation in the core curricula areas of language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. Physical education, health, music, art, library and technology programs are also an exciting part of each student’s instruction. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are emphasized, and promote excellence and lifelong learning.


The Village of Mount Morris is located in the scenic Genesee Valley approximately thirty miles south of Rochester off Route 390. Rochester, of course, offers much in the way of cultural activities. A number of schools of high learning make their homes in Rochester, as well as the Eastman School of Music.

Our proximity to Rochester allows for easy transportation by car, bus, train, and plane. The population of the village and town is approximately 5,000. The small community is ethnically diverse with a history of supporting public education.

Within easy access to Mount Morris are various educational institutions and cultural opportunities. For the vacationer, Letchworth State Park, “The Grand Canyon of the East”, is located within the district’s boundaries. It is well know for its proximity to many excellent colleges and to a variety of recreational activities at Conesus Lake, Letchworth State Park, and nearby ski areas.
