Mills Pond Elementary School goal is to instill the desire for all students to become life long learners. To that end, as a means to keep abreast of the most current educational methodologies and teaching techniques, the faculty is dedicated to participating as a community of learners. Mills Pond Elementary parent Teacher Association (PTA) provides a very important active link between school and home and promotes the welfare of students in the school system. Mathematics and science classes make use of current events, seasonal calendars, weather maps, and a full range of individual and small group "hands-on" projects and experiments. weekly assemblies of students and staff for a presentation or activity, as well as field trips to local sites, music and art courses with seasonal concerts and exhibits, physical education, library media center instruction and student use of multimedia computers.
