Mildred E. Strang Middle School programs include the standard academics, two years of French, Spanish or Italian, art, health, home and career skills, technology, music and physical education. Also offered are over 45 after-school activities, band, orchestra and chorus. Mildred E. Strang has a library/media center, TV studio, a technology center, art complex, swimming pool, and gymnasium. A professional and support staff of approximately 145 individuals provide a middle level school experience specifically addressing the needs of early adolescents.

There are comprehensive activities for students to explore interests, talents and skills. The staff of teachers and other officials works closely with parents and the entire community to provide the best education possible for students. And students really excel in this learning environment that affords average class sizes, positive community support, individual attention, and encouragement which help all students strive for excellence.

Mildred E. Strang Middle School student’s behavior, work habits and attitudes are reinforced with parental cooperation and involvement will be fostered through open communication while achieving and complying with district initiatives. They aim to develop inquiring, caring, confident, principled and academically successful students who will become contributors in the creation of a better school, home, neighborhood and global community.
