Midlakes Primary School is located at 1500 Route 488 Clifton Springs, NY and provides education to grades K-2 in Ontario County. Curriculum and instruction at Midlakes Primary School focuses on core subject areas in addition to music, art, physical education, and computer technology. Use of the library and media resource center is scheduled in conjunction with the learning units that are delivered in the classroom. Enrichment opportunities are offered in various ways including discovery quests, classroom initiatives and 1:1 student support. Midlakes Primary School Language arts instruction is geared toward creating lifelong readers, writers, and effective communicators. Reading, writing, listening and speaking are taught in an integrated fashion to reinforce one another. Children are given many opportunities to experience quality literature and develop a continuum of skills in all areas. In mathematics, the primary goal is to help students develop problem-solving skills that will support lifelong learning. An emphasis is put on the value of mathematics and its usefulness in everyday life.
