Longfellow School works collaboratively as a helpful neighborhood providing every opportunity for our children to achieve at high levels. These opportunities nurture and enhance learning, while addressing the needs of the whole child. At Longfellow School they also believe in a Community that demonstrates clear, concrete and high expectations for all members. Longfellow believes all children can and will learn when given the tools and support to become critical thinkers within the classroom, community and in the global world.

The staff are always striving to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of early adolescents, interdisciplinary teams at the school work closely with students, providing them appropriate support and a nurturing environment in which to grow. The Office of Curriculum and Staff Development supports and advocates for high quality, professional opportunities for our faculty and staff to continue to develop the learners. Additional responsibilities include overseeing all components of a quality district-wide curriculum, the New York State assessment and reporting requirements, and the management of federal and state grants.
