Kipp Amp Charter School believe that there are no shortcuts to success in school or in life, KIPP NYC students spend 67% more time on task than their peers at district schools--nearly 55 hours a week during the traditional school year plus a three-week summer session. In addition to academics, KIPP NYC schools offer enrichment activities such as orchestra, capoeira (Brazilian martial arts and dance form), dance, and chorus. Local and out-of-state field lessons and other special events reward students for hard work and achievement and build relationships within the KIPP NYC team and family.
