John Lewis Childs School PTA works to bring into closer relation the home and the school, where parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth. They act as a bridge between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.

John Lewis Childs School students will use a variety of intellectual skills to demonstrate their understanding of how the United States and other societies develop economic systems and associated institutions to allocate scarce resources, how major decision-making units function in the United States and other national economies, and how an economy solves the scarcity problem through market and no market mechanisms.
