John L. Edwards School is located at 360 State Street Hudson, NY. This school is apart of the Hudson City School District that uses modern educational methods for grades PK through 2 in the County of Columbia, located in the state of New York.
The staff and community of our elementary school believe that every child is a unique and special individual who will learn.

John L. Edwards believes that it is there responsibility to serve as facilitators for the nurturing and developing of every child’s maximum potential: academically, physically, socially and emotionally. We are committed to providing opportunities which will assist students in making self-directed, realistic, and responsible decisions when solving problems that may confront them in our ever changing world.

Ultimately, each student will gain from school according to the effort s/he applies. To increase the degree of educational success, it is very important that teachers, parents and administrators communicate openly and frequently concerning the progress of students.

The curriculum is in close alignment with New York State Learning Standards and teachers at each grade level meet frequently to review and assess curriculum and plans.
