J.H.S. 14 Shell Bank Intermediate School is situated in the King county attends students from grade levels 06 to 08 coming mostly from the Brooklyn area and is one of the schools eligible for participating in Federal and State title I programs.

As of 2006 the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) outcome revealed that the student population of the J.H.S. 14 Shell Bank Intermediate School was formed by Black or African American students, Hispanic or Latino students, Asian and Pacific Islander students, limited English proficient students and economically disadvantaged students with no White or students with disabilities attending classes.

However and based on their economic and social background, students of the J.H.S. 14 Shell Bank Intermediate School are also eligible to participate in free or reduced lunch programs. A parents’ survey revealed that extracurricular activities at this Junior High School are above average and the staff goes beyond the call of duty to provide excellence in education.
