This High School has been recognized for its scholastic achievements and provides education for students attending grades 9th through 12th. At this High School studies are always being advanced and just recently, Introductory Psychology, Introductory Forensic Science, and Creative Writing have been added to the curriculums. There is a variety of Student Athletics programs, in the fall its, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, and Cross Country. Winter season sports include Basketball, Wrestling, and Bowling. Baseball, Softball and Track are played in the spring time.


For parents that intend to enroll a new student to Gowanda High School, they must be withdrawn form the last school attended first. A parent or legal guardian must be present, students cannot enroll by themselves. They also must live in the Gowanda Central School District and must be living with the parent or legal guardian that enrolls them into the school system. Be prepared to bring several identification documents Drivers license, proof of residence, birth certificate, shot records, etc.
