Gardner Road Elementary School is located at 541 Gardner Road Horseheads, NY. This school is located in Chemung County and provides education for grades K through 4 and it is part of the Horseheads Central School District. At Gardner Road Elementary students have the opportunity to use technology in many ways in their classrooms and the computer lab. They use laptops as part of a wireless mobile computer lab, digital cameras, scanners, printers, interactive whiteboards, and electronic microscopes.

The kindergarten program is based on a developmental approach to learning. The center-based promotes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child. We work to promote self-esteem and self-confidence, acceptance, belonging, trust, friendship, offering our students a time to grow and develop.

All students participate in special area classes. These special areas schedule runs on a six-day cycle. Students attend art and library once during the cycle, and music and gym twice. Fourth graders have the opportunity to join chorus, and band or orchestra. Instrumental lessons occur once in the six-day cycle. The band and orchestra also meet once during the cycle.
