Fort Stanwix teachers are highly motivated, experienced professionals who are committed to improving student learning. They analyze assessment data to find areas where their teaching can be improved and work year round to create instructional units and lessons to engage children in substantial learning. Recently, our New York State Assessment scores have increased significantly in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
Fort Stanwix is a kindergarten through fourth grade school whose class sizes average 21 to 22 students. Children are known and appreciated for the strengths they bring to the school community. With small class size and dedicated support personnel, individual learning needs are addressed early.
