Fort Plain Jshs is located at One West Street Fort Plain, NY. Grades 7 through 12 are taught at Fort Plain Jshs which is governed by the Fort Plain Central School District Board of Education in Montgomery County, New York. The Fort Plain Parent-Teacher Association – in its 22nd year – continues to encourage involvement between parents, school and community. The PTA helps forge that link through activities such as field trips, classroom libraries, school assemblies, Parents as Reading Partners and educational workshops. There needs to be a strong link between school and parents to ensure that our children gain knowledge, skills and values needed to succeed in our world today.

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, PBIS is a proactive approach to teaching all children what behaviors are expected and to acknowledge student’s success. PBIS is a proactive way to support all children, youth and their families based on their strengths and needs. PBIS is a collaboration of: NYS Education Department - Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities; NYS Education Department - Office of Elementary, Middle, Secondary, and Continuing Education; and New York State Office of Mental Health, and Families Together in NYS, Inc.
