Emerson Middle School

About

Emerson Middle School is a supportive learning community where highly qualified teachers, administrators, students, parents, and staff share the responsibility for our students’ personal and academic growth. Emerson Middle teachers realize that in order to close the achievement gap, Emerson focuses on improving student reading, writing, mathematical and critical thinking skills. Being an involved parent is the best method to insure your child's success. The PTSA and Booster Club will appreciate your support. Maintain open communication with teachers and staff. Keep track of your child's progress by attending Parent/Teacher Conferencing Nights, Open House, and grade meetings.

The Emerson staff hopes are to model professionalism and a love of learning, engage in professional development focused on improving instructional practices, and actively connect with parents and value diversity. Students will develop the skills necessary to be competent, caring, and responsible members of society. Students will display strong moral character, high self-esteem and the self motivation necessary to achieve high levels of academic success with the ability to meet the challenges of the future. In addition, this mission is best accomplished through the celebration of achievement in all areas of childhood development.
