Deruyter Elementary School is located at 711 Railroad Street Deruyter, NY. This New York public school provides out standing educational opportunities to the local community in Madison County, for grades K through 5.

The school is nestled in the small community of DeRuyter, New York. Elementary school has just fewer than 200 students in grades K – 5. They have two sections of each grade level with the exception of kindergarten (1) and third grade (3). Students benefit from small class sizes, a very caring and dedicated teaching and support staff and a rich sense of community.

Deruyter Elementary School also benefit from the support of a strong and growing PTO. Their efforts helped get our First Annual Science Fair off the ground (which was a great success!) and they’ve put into place our monthly Family Movie Night, which happens the last Friday evening of each month.

Athletic programs have a long history of not only being very competitive, but also showing a high quality of sportsmanship and fair play. These programs include soccer, cross-country, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, track, golf, and cheerleading. These programs offer students opportunities for growth in teamwork, problem solving, and athletic skill development.
