Each year, close to 90% of its seniors go on to some form of post secondary education, with many entering challenging 4 year colleges and universities. Cooperstown Central High School offers 10 A.P. courses (The most of any school in the area) with over 50% of our seniors completing one or more challenged courses. Cooperstown continues to exceed the New York State Learning Standards benchmarks in all core areas and is always striving to ensure our students are ready for college, the military or work.

Along with their academic success, the students excel in many sports and extracurricular activities and are often involved in many Cooperstown area events.
At Cooperstown Central High School the staff and teachers work very hard to incorporate literacy learning in all areas such as; social studies, science, math, health, physical education, and the arts. They know working together to achieve their vision and goals for the students are the biggest concern. Cooperstown Central High School
knows all children can be successful learners.

The teachers apply effective instructional strategies to meet each student’s individual needs. Throughout the learning experience at Cooperstown Central High School, teachers, staff, and parents work together to ensure the best in educational opportunities are available along with providing the best teaching skills for each student at their own level of understanding.
