Choir Academy Of Harlem

About

Choir Academy of Harlem teaches students skills in art that they will benefit from in many great careers. Working with the Bank Street College of Education they have developed an experimental classroom for the sixth grade which focuses on interdisciplinary learning techniques. Lehman College and Borough of Manhattan Community College provide tutoring, advanced classes and teacher training workshops in science and math and with City College have introduced the SPICE program to attract and prepare girls for careers in science and engineering. BMC also provides special art classes for seniors and, Doing Art Together brings arts programming to the middle school. A new project, with the Studio Museum is providing African story telling for the elementary school.
