Charles E. Riley Elementary School is located at 269 East 8Th Street Oswego, NY and it serves grades K-6 in Oswego County. Charles E. Riley Elementary School sits at the crest of Oak Hill and has been the anchor of this southeast neighborhoods education for 46 years! Charles E. Riley offers rich traditions of providing quality educational programs in a warm and nurturing "family" learning environment.

At this school the focus is on student achievement with an emphasis on literacy! Our staff works collaboratively to provide a warm climate of mutual respect and encouragement. The staff and teachers stand firm on student safety, building good character and reading, writing, listening and speaking across their curriculum.

The curriculum coordinator works closely with administration, grade levels, and departments to ensure that curriculum is continually being reviewed, evaluated, and adjusted to meet the needs of students. Additionally, staff analyzes state and local test results as a means of changing curriculum and instruction. The School works with technology integration and activities that provide opportunities for problem solving, students at the high school level they gradually become accountable for their own learning.

Parents are involved in many ways contributing to the success of the school to help guide the school board to ensure all students receive the best education possible while maintaining a social environment for the students to learn and grow into mature upstanding citizens.
