The Academy offers an exceptional selection of special experiences. Students may choose from numerous academic electives, clubs, athletic programs, internships and social functions. All aim to contribute to the total development of a young adult.
Through the years, Academy graduates have distinguished themselves time and time again. 81% of the Class of 2006 is pursuing further education. 88% of the graduating class earned Regents Diplomas; 56% of those were with Honors. CA also graduated 13 International Baccalaureate Diploma candidates in 2006.
The school wishes all students to be safe, engaging environment that values all members of the community and encourages them to pursue their full potential as life-long learners and respectful citizens. The teachers make every effort to incorporate literacy learning in all areas of learning: social studies, science, math, health, physical education, and the arts.
