Cairo-Durham Middle School is located at 1301 Route 145 Cairo, NY. This public school is situated in the Cairo-Durham Central School District and provides education opportunities for students in grades 6 through 8 for residents of Cairo New York, in Greene County. The Town of Cairo is in the south part of the county, partly in the Catskill Park. In 1803, the Town of Cairo was formed from the Towns of Catskill, Coxsackie, and Durham.

This school is devoted to preparing students for the increased academic rigor of high school. Faculty, sensitive to this critical time in students’ lives, begins work with students relating to their college and career selections. As part of Project Lead the Way, middle school students are exposed to careers. The middle school is Technology driven and strives to provide the best and most current technology, standards and equipment, for the educational development of our students and tools for our teachers and staff.
