Primary School number 198 Brooklyn is aimed to nurturing a community of lifelong learners driven by high standards that reflect in the performance of children in grade levels ranging from PK, 0K, 01, 02, 03, 04, to 05 and SE. Brooklyn School makes a collaborative effort of students, parents, teachers, and administrators working together in each child achievement.

The school also provides extracurricular activities to round their academic curriculum, including Chess and Computer Education, Peer mediation, homework help, focus group, chorus, steel pan, violin, dance, movement and sports teams that along with special programs improve the school learning environment.


P.S. 198 in collaboration with Teachers College pay special attention to Writing Process and counts with Project Arts to enrich children's learning experience with Balanced literacy for all grades. There are also Reading Recovery practices for first graders and a Extended Day program in mathematics and other reading activities several times a week.
