A.J. Schmidt Elementary School is located at 9455 Lake Shore Road in Angola, New York. A.J. Schmidt Elementary School provides an excellent education for students in kindergarten through 5th grades.

A.J. Schmidt Elementary School emphasizes on positive behavior with precise programs that reinforce respect and responsibility. The first program aids in enforcing the five general rules that are to be followed at A.J. Schmidt Elementary School which including keeping our hands, feet, and objects to ourselves, following teacher directions the first time they are given, being responsible for things we say and do, being safe in our school, and listening to others and using kind words.

The second program works with monthly themes that promote positive characteristics such as citizenship, respect, responsibility, caring, tolerance, honesty, trustworthiness, diligence, courage, and fairness.

The third program is A.J. Schmidt Elementary School recognition program known as “Super Kids.” This program rewards students for being good. When a student is caught in desirable behavior, he or she is rewarded when the staff member that notices the kindness writes the information into a letter explaining which student along with the positive behavior. The student is rewarded with his or her picture being showcased in the school along with a special breakfast with the principal.
