Achievement First East New York Charter School offers each student with the academic and character skills they need to graduate from top colleges, to succeed in a competitive world, and to serve as the next generation of leaders of their communities. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. The physical education, health, music, art, library and technology programs are also an exciting part of each student’s instruction. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are emphasized, and promote excellence and lifelong learning. The First East student understands that the virtue of self-reliance must be tempered by awareness of his/her need for others and that the success and happiness of each person is inextricably linked to the success and happiness of all with whom life's projects are shared.
