Whitesboro Schools

Whitesboro Central School District is located at 67 Whitesboro Street Yorkville, NY and provides education for grades K-12. The Whitesboro Central School District is engaged in a process to move toward an even brighter future. The process is known as strategic planning and they just completed a renewed Strategic Plan. The plan was created by a 18-member team, representing Whitesboro's parents, teachers, administrators, staff, community members, and area business people. "Action plans" were then developed. Action team members (representatives of students, community members, teachers, and administrators) created action plans, derived from the strategies, for the district to follow.

Some of the directives included are that 100% of students will exceed all state and local requirements. Each student will be a self-directed, responsible citizen. Student will attain his or her goals at the next level of challenge.

The Whitesboro Central School District School Board has set out to improve still further the quality of instruction and learning to which they have become accustomed, so they have recruited the teachers and support staff needed; analyzed past year performance of students, staff, and the system as a whole; prepared our facilities; and are reviewing future courses of action, including a strategic planning process. They anticipate presentations made by the school staff to describe its progress and invite parents to attend our Board of Education meetings.
