Long considered the socioeconomic hub of Oneida County, the City of Utica offers its residents and visitors small-city charm, abundant industry, affordable housing, ample recreational opportunities and a diverse cultural and ethnic community.

Utica City School District takes special care to provide our students with opportunities to meet with success under the New York State Standards and Assessments. Our goal is to provide our children with real life experiences where they can be actively engaged in their learning. The school has joined a statewide campaign sponsored by the NY Public High School Athletic Association, Inc. to promote sportsmanship at school events. The district feels there is a need to stress the type of exemplary behavior that should be exhibited by all players and spectators at school events.

Utica is a city in the state of New York, and happens to be the county seat of Oneida County. The City of Utica is within the region referred to as the Mohawk Valley and the Leather stocking Region in Central New York State. Utica has an extensive park system, with winter and summer sports facilities. Utica and the neighboring city of Rome are principal cities of the Utica–Rome, New York Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Oneida and Herkimer counties.
