Rye Neck Union Free School District Board of Education is made up of six members who serve for three-year terms. Two seats are elected at the annual election and budget vote each year. Any resident 18 years or older may choose to run by having at lest 25 residents support candidacy by signing nominating petitions. Petitions are available from the district clerk and must be returned to the clerk's office thirty days prior to the election. Officers, president and vice president, of the board are elected annual by the sitting board members.

Rye Neck Union Free School District recognizes the importance of providing students and staff access to the technologies necessary to prepare them for the 21st century in order to enhance education and improve academic achievement. Through the work of technology subcommittees, the District Technology Committee has created a strategic long range plan endorsed by the administration, Board of Education, and committed staff, this technology plan will serve as a way to improve the technology infrastructure and effectively integrate technology into the K-12 curriculum.
