Oneida City Schools

Oneida City School District is located at 565 Sayles Street Oneida, NY. This New York public school provides out standing educational opportunities to the local community in Madison County, for grades PK through 12. The Oneida City School District is small city, located between Utica and Syracuse. With 2600 students it offers a comprehensive program with a focus upon Math and Language Arts literacy. The school has an excellent reputation for fine arts programs – band, chorus, drama, marching band, jazz and the visual arts.

Technology has long been an integral part of all programs. Technology has expanded our information resources and further opened the world of communication to our students and staff.

The Oneida City School District Parent Teacher Organization is open to all parents or guardians who have children attending the school, and to all teachers employed at the school. All parents and teachers present at a PTO meeting are permitted to express their concerns, make recommendations, and vote on issues requiring membership approval. Meetings are held monthly during the school year, with dates and times publicized on the school calendar and in school newsletters.

Functions of the PTO include planning and providing school programs, planning and participating in fund raising projects that provide the school with additional funds to benefit the children, and assisting school personnel when needed.

Standing committees have been established to plan and participate in PTO programs and fundraisers. Any member is welcomed and encouraged to assist with any activity.
