District 75 is made up of 57 special schools designed to teach and help students with disabilities. This district provides a tremendous service for the State of New York. Many of the schools in the district are equipped with a learning staff ratio of 1 teacher per 5 students to give each child special care and consideration in their teaching efforts. District is committed to helping all students achieve success academically. This District follows the New York State Board of Regents adopted learning standards for all areas of study. The New York State Education Department issues the core curricula and these core curricula’s are the foundation upon which State assessments are aligned and developed. There is an abundance of student services available within the school system starting at pre-school age and up to the 21 year old that want to continue their education.
