NYC Alternative High Schools

NYC Alternative High School District offers curriculum and teaching methods that are nontraditional. Alternative schools were created due to the fact that poorer school districts do not have enough special education funding. The NYC Alternative High School District continues to help students that without having these services available would more than likely never earn a diploma. The success is contingent upon the district officials to create successful partnerships. The relationships they foster produce tangible results. Drop-out prevention, counseling, as well as school-to-life initiatives are just some of the recent measurable outcomes. Alternative High Schools make possible the transition from high school to college or work environment.
