New Rochelle City Schools

New Rochelle City School District consists of six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. Special programs include magnet elementary schools that feature the humanities, math and science, communication arts, and the performing arts. The New Rochelle City School District offers some 240 courses that provide students the chance to follow studies in the performing and visual arts, advanced science research and electives in forensics, engineering and environmental research, foreign languages including Italian, French, Spanish and Latin. The New Rochelle High School rank in the top ten for student SAT scores that was compared to 38 other public high schools in Westchester County.

New Rochelle schools have been recognized for excellence by the New York State Education Department’s school recognition programs, additionally by the United States Department of Education. The New Rochelle City School District also provides extensive special education services, programs for English Language Learners, a comprehensive arts-in-education and K-12 computer literacy programs, a unique space science curriculum, model full-and part-time gifted Programs and innovative dual-language programs beginning in kindergarten.
