Manhasset Union Free School District Board of Education, parents and community have an equally long history of staunch philosophical and financial support. The district curriculum features a highly acclaimed academic, arts, extracurricular and sports emphasis, together with strong K-12 computer technology, health education, ESL, special education, enrichment, remedial and resource programs. In the elementary grades and grades 7-9, identified students may participate in a gifted and talented program.

Manhasset Union Free School educators recognize the importance of providing a wide range of enrichment opportunities. Students are encouraged to participate in local, state, regional and national competitions in the five major disciplines English, social studies, science, foreign language, and math as well as music and drama contests. At the senior high level, independent research skills programs in science, math and humanities are available for interested students.
