The District is not very large as there is only one school building for all grade levels. The district services the town of Hinsdale lies upon the east border of the county. The area is filled with lush green trees and plants with high hills and narrow valleys, Hinsdale was found by Indians back in the late 1700s.


Some of the Teaching goals of the Hinsdale Central School District are, to produce a center of education for Hinsdale Central School, not just for the students, but for the all the members of the community that include staff officials and teachers. The Hinsdale Central School District endeavors to keep up steady avenues for those students who need educational intervention and remediation both in-school and after school with the use of programs.
